Emirates SkyCargo has expanded its freighter network across East and Southeast Asia, increasing capacity to meet rising demand from key manufacturing and export markets. The carrier transported more than 439,000 tonnes of cargo from 12 markets across the region during FY2025/26, a 5% increase compared with the previous financial year, reflecting stronger demand from exporters in sectors including electronics, pharmaceuticals, perishables and e-commerce. As part of the expansion, Emirates SkyCargo has doubled its freighter services to Narita and Taipei from one to two weekly flights, while increasing operations to Hong Kong to 37 weekly freighter flights. The carrier has also expanded its presence in central China with three weekly freighter services from Zhengzhou and resumed weekly freighter flights from Singapore to Dubai via Mumbai. The airline will continue operating four weekly freighter flights to Hanoi and maintain its weekly service to Bangkok, supporting exports of technology products, perishables, fashion and consumer goods. Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates SkyCargo, said the additional freighter capacity strengthens connectivity between East and Southeast Asia and key markets across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas, giving customers access to more than 12,000 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity across the carrier’s global network.
