Hapag-Lloyd will introduce a General Rate Increase on standard container shipments from the East Coast of South America to several destinations across the Americas. The GRI will take effect on 15 November 2026 and will remain valid until further notice. The following increase will apply: Origin Destination Service Increase South America East Coast South America West Coast CON US$1,000 per standard container South America East Coast North America, Central America and the Caribbean GS1 US$1,000 per standard container South America East Coast North America East Coast SEC US$1,000 per standard container The increase applies to cargo transported in standard containers. Bunker, security, terminal handling and peak season surcharges may apply in addition, along with relevant local and contingency charges.
