Ireland‑based tanker owner and operator Ardmore Shipping is growing its product tanker fleet with the acquisition of three modern MR vessels. The New York-listed firm revealed in its quarterly earnings report that it had agreed to acquire an unnamed trio of Korean-built units for nearly $104m. The acquisition involves two transactions: one 2020‑built scrubber‑fitted vessel for $38.3m, and two 2017‑built MR tankers, each acquired for $32.8m. All three units are expected to be delivered in the third quarter of this year. Ardmore will fund the purchases using a mix of cash on hand and revolving credit facilities. The Gernot Ruppelt-led company counted 22 owned vessels, excluding four chartered-in vessels, at the end of June. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); });
