Multiple brokers tell Splash that Danish shipping giant Norden has sold a nine-year-old, scrubber-fitted, 82,000 dwt ice class bulker, Nord Penguin, for around $30m. The price tag for this Oshima-built vessel indicates that prices are softening. The last similar Japanese affiliated ship was sold in May, and then the same-sized Tsuneishi Zhoushan-built Valiant fetched $32.5m from Blumenthal Asia, a significantly higher price. This ship has its dry dock due and was not scrubber-fitted. Norden has been active in the secondhand market all year, selling and buying, sealing around 10 transactions in wet and dry. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsDenmark Norden
