Image Credit: Wah Kwong Wah Kwong NatPower has signed an MoU with Aberdeen Restaurant Enterprises to explore marine electrification in Hong Kong ’s Aberdeen and Shum Wan areas. The companies will assess shore power facilities, vessel charging infrastructure and battery energy storage, alongside electric vessels for transport and tourism services, Wah Kwong NatPower said in an announcement on Tuesday . The initial phase will look at building a series of electric and transport vessels, as well as potentially deploying the ApliAber electric vessel fleet. The partnership comes as Hong Kong pushes ahead with green shipping, smart port development and shore power infrastructure. "This MoU marks an important step in supporting Hong Kong's marine energy transition,” Vincent Ni , General Manager of WK NatPower, said.
