The Angelicoussis Group has sold a vintage VLCC for a firm price. The outfit has let go of its oldest VLCC, the 306,200 Elizabeth IA, a Daewoo-built ship that hit the water in 2004. The price tag attached to the deal is just under $34m. The ship has already been renamed Statice and is now registered to Wang Chao Marine in China. In a comparable deal from the end of last year, the same-aged, 301,000 dwt VLCC Jessica D sold for $32.5 m. Angelicoussis’s VLCC arm counts 39 ships with an average age of just eight years. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsGreece
