ID Logistics is expanding its Benelux network with a new 53,000 sqm logistics facility in Tiel, the Netherlands . Developed with Heembouw, the site is scheduled to become operational in October 2027 . The facility is located along the A15 motorway and close to the Port of Rotterdam. New capacity in the Netherlands The development will provide nearly 53,000 sqm of space on an 82,763 sqm site . This includes 47,523 sqm of warehouse space, 3,802 sqm of mezzanine space and 1,891 sqm of offices. The facility will have 54 loading docks and a clear height of 13.7 metres. It can operate as a single facility or as two independent units, providing flexibility for different customers. “With this development in Tiel, we are creating additional capacity to support ID Logistics’ growth in Benelux,” said Bart Coenen, CEO of ID Logistics Benelux. Energy hub to power logistics facility The new platform will be built to BREEAM Excellent standards . It will operate without a connection to the public electricity grid. Instead, its power will come from the collective energy hub at the Medel business park. The hub generates, stores and distributes energy locally among businesses at the site. ID Logistics will also establish an Innovation Box at the facility to test and deploy logistics technologies. Up to 500 employees ID Logistics currently operates 30 logistics sites across Benelux , representing around 750,000 sqm of warehouse space. The new Tiel facility will accommodate up to 500 employees working across two shifts once fully operational. Foundation works have already started, with completion scheduled for October 2027.
