Yang Ming Marine Transport and PSA International have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop low-carbon solutions across the global maritime supply chain. The agreement focuses on reducing end-to-end supply chain emissions through closer cooperation between ocean shipping and port operations. Under the partnership, the two companies will combine Yang Ming’s low-carbon shipping initiatives with PSA’s electrified terminal network. The collaboration also includes the development of a digital Book-and-Claim framework and a maritime-land carbon inset solution to help cargo owners reduce transport-related emissions. “Enhancing green competitiveness is at the heart of Yang Ming’s operations,” said Kevin Lee, President of Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation. “By combining our maritime fuel initiatives with PSA’s electrified terminal capabilities, we can provide customers with a transparent and flexible solution to reduce supply chain emissions.” Yang Ming said it had reduced its carbon intensity by 63.32% by the end of 2025, compared with 2008 levels. The carrier also launched its EcoSea+ green transport service, which helps customers lower their Scope 3 transportation emissions through low-carbon shipping options.
