Image Credit: MSC Cruises Cruise line MSC Cruises has floated out its new LNG-fuelled cruise ship at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire , France. The MSC World Atlantic was floated out on September 26 , the company said in an announcement on Wednesday .  MSC World Atlantic will be the 25th ship in the MSC Cruises fleet and the fourth LNG-fuelled vessel in its World Class series. The ship is scheduled to begin operations in the Caribbean from November 2027 . LNG is seen as a more more mature and widely available marine fuel than methanol. However, methane slip reduces its climate benefits. Bio-LNG offers a cleaner option and can be used in existing LNG-fuelled ships.
