SM Line has revised its Transpacific PNS service by removing the call at Shenzhen (Yantian) and introducing a new feeder connection, the Shenzhen–Busan Express (SBX). The weekly SBX shuttle will be operated by a 1,000 TEU vessel, providing transshipment between Shenzhen and Busan for cargo previously carried directly on the PNS service. As part of the network changes, SM Line will reduce the PNS fleet from six to five vessels of approximately 4,300 TEUs. The revised PNS rotation will be: Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Vancouver – Seattle – Busan. The new arrangement enables SM Line to maintain Yantian coverage through Busan while streamlining its Transpacific operations.
