The DynaLiners Shares Index recorded a modest increase while maintaining its second-best position of the year. The index gained 11 points, or 0.4%, during the week. Meanwhile, three sector indices recorded stronger performances, with gains of either 0.9% or 1.3%. Carriers rise as container equipment stocks fall The DLSI Carriers index delivered the largest point increase, adding 44 points. However, companies in the container equipment sector faced a difficult week. The DLSI Boxes index dropped by 87 points, or 5.9%. Overall, 72 share prices increased, while 47 declined. These movements produced an average gain of 1.4%. Largest share price movements Vietnam’s Cat Lai Port recorded the sharpest decline, with its share price falling by 10%. Reefer machinery supplier Carrier followed with a 9% decrease. In the container equipment sector, WillScot Mobile Mini and Mitsubishi HC Capital both declined by 4%. Mitsubishi HC Capital owns container lessor Beacon. On the positive side, Viconship gained 14%. Mercantile Ports & Logistics recorded the largest percentage increase at 28%, although it started from a very low share price.
