Greece’s Performance Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with commodities giant Trafigura for one of its aframax tankers. The deal will see the 2010-built, 103,304 dwt LR2 tanker P Aliki work for a minimum of four and a half months. The maximum period is six months and 25 days. The deal will begin on or around June 16. The vessel will work on a gross charter rate of $47,000 per day and is expected to generate around $6.4m in gross revenue for the minimum duration of the charter. The new time charter contract for the vessel comes after work on spot voyages through pool participation.
