Greece’s Pantheon Tankers has set out to expand its fleet with a fresh newbuilding contract in South Korea. Multiple shipbuilding sources report the deal is in place with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries for a pair of scrubber-fitted suezmax vessels. Genoa-based shipbroking group Banchero Costa has placed a “slightly softer” price tag on each 158,000 dwt ship at about $87.5m. Anna Angelicoussis-led outfit currently lists six newbuilding projects, comprising a pair of VLCCs and four LR2s contracted in China.
