Brazilian offshore driller Constellation Oil Services has won a contract from compatriot Brava Energia for its semisubmersible Lone Star. The rig, operating under Constellation since 2011, has been fixed for 400 days for work at Papa-Terra and Atlanta fields offshore Brazil in a deal worth around $130m. The contract, excluding the provision of integrated services or managed pressure drilling (MPD), comes with a 60-day priced option attached. The drilling campaign is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2025 after the rig comes out of Petrobras charter.
