Denmark’s Navigare Capital Partners has exercised an option for one newbuild offshore wind commissioning service operation vessel for Norway’s Norwind Offshore. Earlier this year, the Copenhagen-based alternative investment fund manager struck a deal with Fincantieri-controlled Norwegian shipbuilder Vard for up to three CSOVs. One firm vessel, delivering in the first quarter of 2026, was contracted in March. The new deal will see the 85-m newbuild in the second quarter of 2027 from Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam. The latest order takes CSOV vessels Norwind Offshore and Navigare Capital contracted with Vard to six. Navigare Capital, which has containers, bulkers, tankers and gas carriers in its portfolio, entered the offshore wind support vessel segment in May 2022 with an investment in Farstad and Volstad-backed Ålesund-based outfit Norwind and its newbuilds. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsDenmark Norway Offshore Wind
