South Korea’s HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has won an order from compatriot Cido Shipping for two 88,000 LPG dual fuel capable very large ammonia carriers (VLACs). The units, costing $125.9m each, are due for delivery in Q2 and Q3 2027. The ordering of more than 50 VLACs over the past 12 months has made many headlines around the world.
