Fitch: Prolonged Iran War Case Highlights Risks in Multiple Sectors and Regions in World Economy News 04/05/2026 In a new report, Fitch Ratings responded to questions from investors about its analysis of a prolonged war in Iran, exploring how sustained high energy prices, tighter financial conditions and lower global growth could affect issuers if the Iran conflict continues until end-2Q26, with the Strait of Hormuz remaining effectively closed until June.
