According to Advisory to Shipping No. A-21-2025 issued by the Panama Canal Authority, the scheduled outage at Gatun Locks from August 19 to 21, 2025, which was originally expected to reduce transit capacity to 16 vessels per day, has been cancelled. This maintenance activity was originally expected to reduce daily transit capacity to 16 vessels per day in Panamax Locks. However, with the cancellation of the outage, the estimated transit capacity for those dates has been restored to 26 vessels per day in Panamax Locks.
