US Vessel Response Plans – Update on Western Alaska Alternative Planning Criteria 25 July 2018 No.974 Tweet Download PDF (14KB) The members operating non-tank vessels in transit through Western Alaska waters en-route to or from a US port are required to follow Alternative Planning Criteria (APC) in order to fulfil federal requirements. We have been informed that Alaska Response Company (ARC) was expired by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in its APC on 30 June 2018.   As an alert, Members citing ARC in their vessel response plans are recommended to make the APC with either Alaska Maritime Prevention and Response Network or 1-Call Alaska to comply with the regulations during transit in Alaskan waters.
