Third, the current situation in US/Canadian ports regarding delays and the forecast by the National Retail Federation that imports will decline in the last five months of the year. Fourth, Iowa finds itself in competition against Brazil in the export of soybeans as the latter invests heavily in its infrastructure. Finally, with issues of firefighting in the Navy due to the Bonhomme Richard, the Department of Defense is facing a critical shortage of firefighters that put Navy lives at risk.
