FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin An Indian Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carrier, Disha, has safely transited the Strait of Hormuz, becoming the first Indian LNG tanker to pass through the conflict-hit shipping lane since the outbreak of war in the Middle East. As explained, the vessel, carrying 62,370 metric tonnes of LNG, is managed by a Shipping Corporation of India-led consortium and chartered by Petronet LNG Ltd. It is also among the first commercial ships to navigate the strait following a preliminary ceasefire understanding between the United States and Iran.
