FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin A fire broke out overnight on 3 April aboard a deck barge loaded with scrap metal at a recycling terminal on Musqueam Drive along the Fraser River in British Columbia. The blaze generated large plumes of smoke and was initially mistaken by nearby residents for a fire in a commercial building. Surrey Fire Services responded at around 11:00 p.m. local time and discovered the flames had engulfed the barge’s scrap cargo.
