FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin Ukraine launched a wave of drone strikes across Russia on 3 May, targeting energy infrastructure and maritime assets, including the Baltic Sea port of Primorsk which was hit and set on fire. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said the strikes caused significant damage to the oil terminal at Primorsk, one of Russia’s largest export hubs with a capacity of around 1 million barrels per day. He further stated that the operation struck an oil tanker, a small Karakurt-class missile ship and a patrol vessel in the Baltic Sea.
