The lifting of those fishing bans is scheduled to take effect in the following order: • August 16, 2022 for the East China Sea and the South China Sea area between North latitude 26°30’ and 12°; • September 1, 2022 for Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea area to the North latitude 35°; and • September 15 for the East China Sea area between North latitude 35° and 26°30’. The PRC’s Maritime Safety Agency has issued Safety Guideline for Preventing of Collision Between Merchant Vessels and Fishing Vessels in Chinese Coastal Waters that set forth basic navigational safety measures for vessels transiting these waters.
