FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin Dorian LPG Ltd has taken delivery of a new 93,000 cbm dual-fuel LPG and ammonia gas carrier named “Areion” from Hanwha Ocean in South Korea. The ship will operate under the Helios LPG Pool, a joint venture between Dorian LPG and MOL Energia, and is designed to carry both LPG and ammonia cargoes. “Areion” can run on LPG or fuel oil and is equipped with a hybrid scrubber that reduces emissions such as sulphur oxides, particulate matter, and black carbon. Using LPG as fuel can cut CO₂ emissions by around 20% compared to traditional fuels.
