Eidesvik has made Helga Cotgrove permanent chief executive after she stepped up as interim head of the Norwegian offshore vessel owner following the exit of boss Gitte Gard Talmo. “We have conducted a thorough search process and it is clear to us that Cotgrove is the best suited to lead the company going forward,” said Arne Austreid, Eidesvik chairman. Cotgrove joined Eidesvik from Norsk Solar as chief of finance in October 2022. Before this, she held a position as director of corporate development for Halliburton in Houston. “I am looking forward to continuing the journey with Eidesvik and its talented team. We have made substantial progress the last two years growing the business and improving margins, investing in additional tonnage, and refinancing the company creating a very strong balance sheet,” Cotgrove said. Talmo resigned from Eidesvik in September after spending 22 years with the company in various management roles.
