AUTORIDAD DEL CANAL DE PANAMÁ VICE PRESIDENCY FOR TRANSIT BUSINESS 3654-A (NTXI) V. 1-8-2019 ADVISORIES ARE AVAILABLE AT http://www.pancanal.com FOR ETAS OR DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH OUR OFFICES, REFER TO NOTICE N-3-2019 ADVISORY TO SHIPPING No. A-06-2019 February 28, 2019 TO : All Shipping Agents, Owners, and Operators SUBJECT: Third Update of the Maximum Authorized Draft for the Neopanamax Locks Based on the present and projected levels of Gatun Lake for the following weeks, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) announces that, effective March 29, 2019, the Maximum Authorized Draft for vessels transiting the Neopanamax locks will be 14.02 meters (46.0 feet) Tropical Fresh Water (TFW). Vessels arriving after March 29, 2019, with drafts over 14.02 meters (46.0 feet) TFW may be allowed to transit, depending on the actual level of Gatun Lake at the time of transit. Otherwise, they will be required to trim or off-load cargo in order to be allowed to transit. Draft adjustments will be announced in 12-inch (30.5 cm) decrements, generally with at least four weeks advanced notice.
