Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) has appointed ex-Shanghai transport commission head Yu Fulin as its chairman. According to the company, Yu Fulin was elected by the SIPG’s board via a unanimous vote. He will also serve as the chairman of the strategy committee. Fulin is a senior engineer, born in March 1967. He currently serves as a member of the 12th Shanghai municipal committee of the Chinese Communist Party and a representative to the 12th Shanghai Municipal Congress of the CCP. He replaces Gu Jinshan, who resigned from his roles of chairman and director due to legal age restrictions on July 11 this year. SIPG president Song Xiaodong took over his duties in the interim.
