Tunisia－General strike at all ports We have obtained the following information from local correspondents TCI AFRICA regarding a general strike at all ports on 16, 17, 18 and 19 of April 2019 in Tunisia.     ///QUOTE///   STEVEDORE STRIKE CONVENED FOR APRIL 16th, 17th and 18th, 2019   A three-day general strike was convened in all Tunisian ports for April 16th, 17th and 18th, 2019 T his was decided on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019; by the National Union Chamber of Port Services, calling all affiliates to observe the work stoppage during these three days.   The Expanded Executive Board met yesterday at UTICA headquarters. This meeting was an opportunity to examine the issue of the companies of the ships mooring men, ships watchmen and other various services provided by professionals.   The strike has been convened as an expression of professional discontent to the lack of interest from the Department of Transport and the Merchant Marine and Ports Board in resolving outstanding issues and reviewing the port company records.   ///UNQUOTE///
