FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin The UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has launched a rolling review of the UK maritime training syllabus to ensure seafarers receive up-to-date training aligned with evolving technology, safety standards and industry needs. The initiative introduces mandatory five-year syllabus revisions, with the current edition having been implemented in September 2025. Future updates will be reflected in electronic Training Record Books (eTRBs) and digital assessments, with the next revised syllabus due to be introduced at training centers in 2029 for delivery from 2030.
