One unmanned vessel is believed to have run aground, while two others broke away from their anchorage before being secured with assistance from the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), local media outlets reported. The Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping) alerted the ICG on 5 July after extreme weather and strong winds caused the vessels, MT Al Jafzia, MT Asphalt Star, and MT Stellar Ruby, to drag their anchors from designated holding areas.
