CMA CGM has announced new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates and Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) on several trade routes, with implementation dates ranging from 5 July to 25 July 2026. The carrier will introduce new FAK rates from the Mediterranean to the Middle East and Red Sea from 6 July. For shipments to the Middle East Gulf, rates will range from US$6,100 to US$6,700 per 20-foot container and from US$6,300 to US$6,900 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container, depending on the origin. For cargo to the Red Sea, rates will range from US$2,100 to US$3,200 per 20-foot container and from US$2,300 to US$3,400 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container. CMA CGM will also apply a Peak Season Surcharge on the same trade lane from 8 July. The surcharge will be US$100 per 20-foot dry container and US$200 per 40-foot dry container. In addition, the carrier will introduce a PSS of US$1,000 per dry container for shipments from India’s west coast to the east coast of South America, excluding North Brazil. The surcharge will take effect on 25 July and will apply to short-term contracts. Finally, CMA CGM will implement a PSS of US$150 per TEU on cargo moving from China to Tamatave, Madagascar, effective 5 July.
