Industry Transit Advice, Southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden Loss Prevention Steamship Mutual Published: February 06, 2024 Contact author Download article pdf Industry Transit Advice, Southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden With the continued security concerns for vessels transiting the Red Sea the Club would like to bring to the attention of Members the latest guidance on the Southern Red Sea (SRS) and Gulf of Aden (GoA) as issued by the joint industry working group consisting of ICS, BIMCO, CLIA, IMCA, INTERCARGO, IMCA, OCIMF and INTERTANKO has been released today. The guidance provides updated advice on transits through the SRS and GoA and includes the relevant military organisations’ advice on specific routes and actions. The threat section has been updated to reflect the latest understanding as has the targeting section.
