CMA CGM will apply a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on shipments from China to West Africa from 15 June 2026. The surcharge applies to dry and reefer cargo under short-term contracts. For West Africa Central destinations, CMA CGM will charge US$750 per TEU to Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin and Equatorial Guinea. Shipments to Togo will face a surcharge of US$850 per TEU, while cargo to Ghana will be charged US$650 per TEU. For West Africa North destinations, including Liberia, Senegal, Mauritania, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde and Sao Tome & Principe, the surcharge is set at US$350 per TEU. Shipments from China to Gambia will be subject to a PSS of US$600 per TEU. CMA CGM confirmed that no Peak Season Surcharge will apply on shipments from China to Guinea.
