As reported by Reuters, the gas carrier Perle docked at China’s Beihai LNG terminal on 19 May, delivering a cargo originally loaded on December 8 from Russia’s Portovaya LNG facility, which is under U.S. sanctions. Under normal conditions, LNG shipments from Russia to Asia typically take up to about 45 days, making the extended voyage unusually long.
