HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering To Build FSRU in Shipbuilding News 02/07/2026 HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specializing in shipbuilding, announced on July 1 that it has signed a contract with a shipping company based in Asia to build one FSRU. – The company also announced on July 1 that it has signed a contract with a shipping company based in Oceania to build one LNG carrier. – The total order amount is 492.8 billion KRW and 392.2 billion KRW, respectively. – The FSRU and LNG carrier will both be built by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and are scheduled to be delivered by the first half of 2029. – Including these orders, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has received orders for a total of 133 ships worth 15.72 billion USD so far this year, achieving 67.4% of its annual order target of 23.31 billion USD (provisional). – By ship type, the company has received orders for 17 LNG carriers, 28 containerships, 40 LPG/ammonia carriers, 11 crude oil carriers, 33 product carriers, 2 PCTCs, 1 icebreaker, and 1 FSRU.
