Update on shipments via emergency transit ports in the Middle East in International Shipping News 10/06/2026 As a result of ongoing operational disruptions affecting certain Middle East trade corridors, some shipments destined for Upper Gulf locations have been discharged and temporarily stored at designated emergency transit ports. This measure supports the continued movement and safeguarding of cargo under the current circumstances. In accordance with Clause 16, Methods and Routes of Carriage, and Clause 17, Matters Affecting Performance, of Hapag-Lloyd’s Bill of Lading Terms and Conditions, the Carrier may discharge, store, handle, or transport cargo via alternative ports or routes when circumstances beyond the Carrier’s control affect the planned carriage. Storage charges may apply for the period during which containers remain at the designated emergency transit port. Please refer to the applicable terminal storage charges below: Source: Hapag-Lloyd AG 2026-06-10 hellenicshippingnews... tweet Share
