MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has announced new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to Europe. The new rates will take effect on 1 August 2026. They will remain valid until further notice, but no later than 31 August 2026. For shipments from India and Pakistan, rates to Antwerp range from US$4,650 to US$4,950 per container. Rates to Valencia range from US$4,750 to US$5,050. Cargo from Nhava Sheva will cost US$4,650 to Antwerp and US$4,750 to Valencia. From Ennore, MSC set the rates at US$4,850 and US$4,950. From Kolkata, the rates rise to US$4,950 and US$5,050. From Port Qasim, MSC will charge US$4,650 to Antwerp and US$4,750 to Valencia. MSC also published new rates from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. From Colombo, the rate is US$3,050 for a 20-foot container and US$3,350 for a 40-foot or high-cube container. The rates apply to both Antwerp and Valencia. From Chattogram, the rate is US$3,050 for a 20-foot container. The rate for a 40-foot or high-cube container is US$3,850. The announced rates include the base ocean freight, Contingency Adjustment Charge (CAC), Piracy Risk Surcharge (PRS) and Emission Control Areas (ECA) charge. Additional surcharges still apply. These include the Bunker Recovery Charge (BRC), EU ETS, FuelEU, Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS), terminal handling charges and local fees.
