Image Credit: Dorian LPG Gas shipping firm Dorian LPG has ordered a new LPG dual-fuel very large gas carrier (VLGC) from HD Hyundai . The firm signed a contract for a 90,000 m3 dual-fuel Panamax VLGC for delivery in July 2029 at a cost of about $115 million , the company said in a statement on its website on Tuesday . LPG remains a niche alternative bunker fuel for now, being used almost exclusively in gas carriers. Dorian had previously taken delivery of a dual-fuel VLGC in March 2026 . “We are confident in the growth prospects of the LPG transportation market and believe that our disciplined fleet renewal and expansion strategy, commitment to our people, focus on innovation and efficiency, along with a solid balance sheet will enable us to deliver long-term value for our shareholders,” John C.
