Properly collected, preserved, and documented evidence provides information that enables us to learn from incidents, verify compliance with regulations, procedures and policies, and properly establish the incident’s liabilities. The American P&I Club’s animation - Collection of Perishable Evidence - outlines common forms of perishable evidence and introduces practical guidance to support effective evidence preservation onboard and is available in English, with new and traditional Mandarin subtitles on the Club’s Emergency Response webpage.
