Oslo-listed offshore wind service pureplay Edda Wind has secured a charter contract with an unnamed large international EPCI contractor for its newbuild commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) Sudri Enabler. The Gondan-built unit is scheduled for delivery at the end of June and will start its contract after commissioning and testing. The John Fredriksen, Wilhelmsen and Idan Ofer-backed outfit said the charter will last until the second quarter of 2025 at rates that support the company’s view on strong market fundamentals in the offshore wind space. This is Kenneth Walland-led Edda Wind’s first contract with an EPCI contractor and first job related to the growing cable laying activity in offshore wind. Walland noted that all of the company’s vessels are now fully booked until the end of Q3 2024. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsFredriksen Group Norway
