Borealis Maritime’s offshore vessel arm, Aurora Offshore, has secured long-term employment for one of the platform supply vessels taken over from Viking Supply Ships earlier this year. Brokers report the 2021-built Aurora Cooper fixed to BP UK for one year plus options, with the charter likely starting next week. Dayrates for the LNG dual-fuel battery hybrid unit, which has been on supply duties for Norwegian oil and gas company Vår Energi, have not been disclosed. The PSV joined the Kristiansand-based outfit, which commercially manages more than 15 OSVs, together with the sister vessel Aurora Coey. Borealis, in partnership with Cyprus-based owner and shipping fund manager Pelagic Partners, bought Christen Sveaas’ Swedish OSV player Viking Supply Ships out of both ships in January. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsNorway United Kingdom
