Borealis Maritime’s offshore vessel arm, Aurora Offshore, has entered into a shareholding and management contract with compatriot offshore vessel operator Siem Offshore. As a result of the deal, Siem Offshore will become a shareholder in Aurora Offshore and will transfer the management of their owned fleet of nine offshore vessels to Aurora. The nine vessels will increase Aurora Offshore’s overall fleet size to 28 vessels, consisting of two offshore construction vessels, one multipurpose platform supply vessel, six anchor handling vessels, and 19 platform supply vessels. According to Aurora, the combined fleet will employ approximately 950 seafarers, directly or indirectly. “These additional vessels will allow Aurora Offshore to enter the subsea market as well as enhance our current AHTS and PSV fleet,” said Aurora Offshore CEO Steve Brackenridge. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsNorway
