The military coup in Gabon is impacting operations in the country’s ports.Update 8 September 2023Budd Gabon report that following the military coup of 30 August, calm is returning to the streets of Gabon.The ports of Libreville, Owendo and Port Gentil have resumed commercial operations. However, a night-time curfew remains in place between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00, which may impact shift changes for stevedores.The country’s borders have now re-opened.The military in Gabon seized power on the morning of 30 August 2023 and placed President Ali Bongo under house arrest.
