London-listed liftboat operator Gulf Marine Services (GMS) has won a contract extension for one small-class vessel and a new contract for another. Both the extension and the new contract are for work in the Gulf Cooperation Council region. The council consists of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The contract extension, surpassing the initially issued duration, is for a period of an additional 176 days. The new contract is for a total duration of 210 days. The company did not reveal any more particulars regarding the two deals. “As we enter 2024 demand for our services in the region remains strong as reflected by these contract awards, again with an overall improvement to average day rates,” said Mansour Al Alami, GMS executive chairman. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsUnited Kingdom
