London-based shipbroker SSY has appointed former Fearnley Offshore Supply man Martin Hestnes to the newly created role of offshore subsea and projects manager. Based in Dubai, Hestnes (pictured above) will work alongside the head of offshore Frank Holck and the wider team to further expand SSY’s presence in the Subsea space. He will start his new role on September 1, 2024. Hestnes has eighteen years of specialised experience and has held several senior managerial roles within the offshore vessel industry. He started his career at Boa Offshore after which he spent seven years at Gibson Shipbrokers in London where he was the head of offshore. His next destination was Fearnley Offshore Supply where he served as managing partner and board member during his nine years at the brokerage. “The offshore sector has seen transformative change over the past eighteen months and I’m proud to say that our offshore team has been instrumental in positively affecting that change. There is still much more we want to achieve within this exciting and dynamic market and to do that, you need the right talent and expertise. Martin has both these qualities in abundance and comes to SSY with a proven track record,” said Stanko Jekov, SSY managing partner. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsUnited Kingdom
