Nigeria-Tax Laws on international shipping companies 13 June 2023 No.1227 Tweet Download PDF (238KB) We have received the information below from our local correspondent in Nigeria, Femi Atoyebi & Co..   Tax laws in Nigeria were amended several years ago and the authorities can impose taxes to international shipping companies against income derived from Nigeria. The Federal Inland Revenue Service of Nigeria is demanding that shipowners or operators pay taxes for their ‘business activities’ (cargo carriage) in Nigeria.
