TechnipFMC has secured a contract from BP for its Argos southwest extension project in the Mad Dog field in the Gulf of Mexico. Under the contract, worth between $75m and $250m, the New York-listed subsea giant will install pipe and an umbilical, tying back three new wells to the Argos platform. The contract also includes manufacturing and installation of pipeline end terminations. Argos is BP’s fifth deepwater platform in the Gulf of Mexico and the centrepiece of the company’s $9bn Mad Dog 2 project.
