Malaysian tanker owner and operator Orkim has expanded its fleet with its largest vessel to date. The company recently took delivery of the 49,999 dwt MR tanker Orkim Citrine. The vessel expands Orkim’s fleet to 18 vessels and increases the company’s total deadweight capacity by approximately 30%. According to the company, the vessel will begin its first voyage as part of the Orkim fleet shortly. With the Orkim Citrine, the total tonnage of the company’s fleet has increased to 239,186 dwt. Its fleet consists of 14 CPP tankers, two medium-range CPP tankers, and two LPG tankers. The vessels operate under a mix of charter agreements and transport cargo for energy companies within Malaysia, and across neighbouring Asian countries. “Fleet expansion is a priority.
