Lianson Fleet Group (LFG), formerly known as Icon Offshore Group, has entered into a non-binding agreement with PV Drilling to create an offshore jackup rig joint venture in Malaysia. Under the joint venture, Lianson Fleet will hold a 51% stake, while PV Drilling will hold the remaining 49%. The companies will provide three directors each. The initial focus of the JV will be on owning and deploying two jackups. The JV will offer rig chartering, drilling services, and decommissioning solutions. The shareholders’ agreement is expected by the first quarter of 2026, if no unforeseen delays occur. Through this collaboration, LFG aims to enhance and diversify its existing marine and offshore oil and gas service offerings, strengthen its regional footprint across key Southeast Asia markets.
